Joining Pelican Bay Fire/Rescue

If you are interested in joining Pelican Bay Fire/Rescue, we would love to hear from you! We are always looking for firefighters, however if you are interested in working in an EMS only fashion or in an administrative role we would like to hear from you as well. The best option is to come by one of our training sessions at the fire station and fill out an application. By coming to a training session, you will gain an insight into the department, see how our training activities are conducted, and you will meet our firefighters in person and be able to ask any questions you may have. This is the best way for you to see if a membership with the Pelican Bay Fire/Rescue is right for you. We hold training sessions every Thursday night at 7:00 PM. We also hold special training drills on other dates and times. After completing an application, drop it off at the City Hall or bring it by the station and give it to one of our members. You will be asked to return for the next Thursday training session. A background check on the applicant is also conducted during this time. The process of approval may take some time because the City Council only meets once each month. The applicant should attend each training session in the meantime. Once approved, the new member will be assigned all equipment at no charge and training will begin as a probationary firefighter. Other ways to inquire about joining include e-mailing us for information, or contacting us by telephone. If you are interested in an exciting and rewarding experience helping others, and you would like to be part of a professional, goal-oriented, and well trained fire department, we hope to hear from you! We can use your help!

Applications are available at the City Hall or you can download a PDF version that you can print, fill out and return.

Thank you for supporting Pelican Bay Fire/Rescue and helping to make our City one of the Safest in Tarrant County.
